I am use to seeing big monitor speakers on stage but I figure this is big enough for a small live gig .I was worried when I saw the box, its small.So I tested it with my MacBookPro. I thought it wasnt loud enough so I raise all the volume in the media player and the computer , and then it was loud enough. The sound loudness at max does not creat a distortion though, so If you have a mixer then you are better off than relying on its on board volume control.Its only 40 watts anyway. So it works for the size of venue I had in mind. I got mine for 30 +20 shipping , so it ends up a 50 dollar self powered monitor speaker. Altec Lansing makes pretty good computer speaker so I went with this . I could have gotten a bigger speaker but it was a bit more expensive. But they should not label this for "Stage" , well I guess it depends on how small the stage.  littlle man, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Powered Stage Floor Monitor Speakers, NEW! if you have a small karaoke system at home like less than 300 watts, or a one man band in a coffie shop this little dude is for you but anything above that it just doesnt have enough volume to over come the main speakes it will distort and strain but for what it is it is a wonderful problem free little dude and the cable included is not of stage quality but it works |
